Grass and Bug Conqueror High Score Event launches in Pokémon Masters EX, alongside 5★-Select Type and Triple Feature Poké Fair Scouts

Pokémon Masters EX's latest High Score Event, Grass and Bug Conqueror, is launching today alongside 5★-Select Type and Type Exclusive - Triple Feature Poké Fair Scouts featuring Sync Pairs useful for challenging the event. Both the event and Scouts will run through to May 20th, at 10:59pm (PDT).

High Score Event: Grass and Bug Conqueror
Grass and Bug Conqueror is the latest High Score Event in Pokémon Masters EX, in which Trainers can attempt to score the highest amount possible within a set of five battles. Grass and Bug Conqueror once again will see players facing off against trainers from two different types, with this event's gauntlet including Mallow, Cilan, Bugsy, Viola, and Guzma. By completing battles in this event and achieving a higher total score, players will be able to earn a variety of rewards, including 5★ Power-Ups, Certificates of Excellence, Move Candy and Roll Cake Coins, and Skill Feathers.

Players can also obtain Gems ×100, Grass Tome, Vol. 1 ×60, Grass Codex, Vol. 1 ×60, Bug Tome, Vol. 1 ×60, and Bug Codex, Vol. 1 ×60 as first-time rewards for completing each battle.

Each High Score Event comes with a set of Event Rules that apply to all battles, and serve as a set of conditions to evaluate how players have completed each battle. The ratings on each of these rules determine the player's base score for each battle. The rules for Grass and Bug Conqueror are as follows:
  • Time Trial - Players will obtain a higher score depending on how fast they can complete each battle.
  • Remaining HP - Players will obtain a higher score depending on the total percentage of all allied sync pairs' remaining HP when a battle is completed.
  • More attacks - Players will obtain a higher score the more times all allied sync pairs land attacks over the course of a battle.
Each of these above rules has a maximum score of 3,000, for a total of 9,000 possible score from Event Rules. In addition to these Event Rules, players will also be able to boost their base score by satisfying additional Challenge Rules. The two Challenge rules for the Grass and Bug Conqueror event are as follows:
  • Trapped: 1 or more times - Players will receive a bonus 1,000 to their base score by inflicting Tripped on an opponent 1 or more times..
  • Main Character or Rival - Players will receive a bonus 1,000 to their base score by forming a team with 1 or more characters with the Main Character or Rival Theme Skills.
On top of these bonuses, players will receive the following multipliers to their base Score depending on their number of Grass- and Bug-type sync pairs in their party:
  • 0 Pairs: ×0 Score
  • 1 Pair: ×1 Score
  • 2 Pairs: ×2 Score
  • 3 Pairs: ×3 Score
With these multipliers, players must include at least one Grass- or Bug-type sync pair in their team to receive a score for each battle. As each Sync Pair will only be able to join a single battle in the set of five, players will need to have teamed up with a wide variety of Grass- and Bug-type Sync Pairs if they want to ensure the highest score possible.

Three of the five battles in this particular High Score Event also have additional special rules:
  • VS Mallow: Ally move gauge maximum -2 - Reduces allies' move gauge maximum by two.
  • VS Cilan: No rules
  • VS Bugsy: Opponents are immune to status conditions and interference - Opponents are immune to status conditions and won't flinch, become confused, or become trapped.
  • VS Viola: Ally sync move damage significantly reduced - Reduces the damage allies deal with sync moves moves by 80%.
  • VS Guzma: Allies cannot change weather, etc. - Allies cannot change the weather, terrain, or zone.
A ranking feature is also available to this event, allowing players to see how well they've done against other trainers. Players whose Best Score is within the top 10,000 spots at the end of the event will be awarded Master Rank, receiving a special Medal as a general mission reward. Final Ranking Results will only be announced after the event has concluded, from May 22nd, at 11:00pm (PDT), and will remain available until May 29th, at 10:59pm (PDT).

Players should also note the following when playing this event:
  • To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
  • Area info completion data will not be carried over the next time this event returns.
  • The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
  • It may take some time for rankings to be updated, meaning the in-game rankings may not reflect the most recent results.
  • Battles finished after the event period ends may not be reflected in the rankings.
Two new Scout Banners

Two new scout banners have started today in Pokémon Masters EX, running alongside Grass and Bug Conqueror.

5★-Select Type Scout
In this 5★-Select Special Scout featuring only Grass- and Bug-type Sync Pairs, players can spend 2,000 paid gems to receive an ×11 Scout, as well as an additional bonus selection of a 5★ Sync Pair of the player's choice from a limited pool. This scout can be used up to 3 times during the scouting period.

Type Exclusive - Triple Feature Poké Fair Scout

Alder & Volcarona, Greta & Breloom, and Victor & Rillaboom make their return in this Triple Feature Feature Poké Fair Scout.

As with a typical Poké Fair Scout, 5★ Sync Pairs will have a 10% chance of appearing, with the three featured trainers having a higher chance of being scouted. Unlike regular Poké Fair Scouts however, only Grass- and Bug-type Sync Pairs will appear in this scout. As always, Poké Fair exclusive Sync Pairs may reappear in future Poké Fair Scouts.

Alongside this Scout, Alder & Volcarona and Victor & Rillaboom are each receiving new EX Roles. Alder & Volcarona can now be upgraded with a Field EX Role, while Victor & Rillaboom can acquire a Sprint EX Role.
