Contestants announced for the first episode of the Gotta Catch ’Em All! Game Show, streaming this Friday June 27th at 11:00am (PDT) / 6:00pm (UTC)

On June 26th, a literal day before the premiere of the Gotta Catch ’Em All! Game Show on Twitch, the Pokémon Company International has announced the three contestants for the first episode. Joining the host, comedian Brian David Gilbert, on the stream will be:
  • Steve Sarumi, who hosts a number of podcasts including the Pokémon based “It’s Super Effective”.
  • Jake "Spragels” Sprague, a Pokémon UNITE commentator. Just the other day, he cast on the 2025 Pokémon North America International Championships.
  • GlitchxCity, a music producer who posts a number of remixes of music from video games. Pokémon was the franchise she started in and makes up the majority of her work. She also made a song for a trailer for the game Elestrals.
The first episode will be broadcast live on June 27th on Pokémon's official Twitch channel at approximately 11:00am (PDT) / 2:00pm (EDT) / 6:00pm (UTC), and is scheduled to be two hours in length.

As reported previously, the Gotta Catch ’Em All! Game Show is a multiple choice Pokémon themed trivia game where players catch Pokémon as the reward for correctly answering questions. Players win by collecting all four Victory Pokémon: Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charmander, and Pikachu. All Pokémon have One-Time Effects that can be used during the game, including the Victory Pokémon. A infographic in the contestant announcement detailed all of the Pokémon except for Magikarp, enabling the completion of the Victory Pokémon cells on the table of all Pokémon from last week's news post.
