Animated short "First Outing With Morpeko" released on the Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel

First Outing with Morpeko
As part of a special project called 「ポケモンと駆ける夏物語」 (Summer Stories Running With Pokémon), the official Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel will be releasing two animated shorts. Both of these shorts were released in Mainland China earlier this year.

The first short, 「モルペコとはじめてのおでかけ」 (Morupeko to Hajimete no O-dekake, transl: First Outing With Morpeko) was released on Weibo, Douyin, Bilibili, Xiaohongshu, and Kuaishou in mainland China as 「宝可梦奇遇沙滩节」 (Bǎokěmèng Qíyù Shātānjié, transl: Pokémon Beach Fest Adventure) on June 1st in celebration of Children's Day. This short follows a young boy named Shota and his partner Morpeko as they head to the beach festival venue to meet their idol, Bisharp. Along the way they meet new friends and encounter one mishap after another. It features the voices of Kei Shindō as Shota and Ikue Otani as Morpeko.

Bisharp, the hero they admire, is coming to the Beach Festival!
Hearing this rumor, a young boy named Shota and his partner Morpeko head to the beach to meet him for a glimpse.
The two are filled with excitement, but along the way they meet their friends Lulu and Takeru, as well as the Pokémon, and one mishap after another occurs.
Will Shota and Morpeko be able to meet the hero they admire?
And what will the two really find on this adventure...?
