Latias to join the fray in Pokémon UNITE on August 8th — New game mode "Electrode Volleyball" released; Pawmot teased as the next addition to the game

The release date for Latias, the next Pokémon to join the fray in Pokémon UNITE has been announced during the July 22 Pokémon Presents — It will be available to play from August 8th. Latias is a Ranged Supporter with Intermediate difficulty and deals Special damage.

Latios was originally revealed to be joining Pokémon UNITE along with Latias as part of the 4th Anniversary celebrations. Latios joined the fray on July 18th, during the first part of the anniversary celebration events.

New game mode

Additionally, a new game mode, Electrode Volleyball, is now available in the game. This 3-v-3 game mode consists of a Electrode-shaped balls that will be dropped all over the arena, and players will need to prevent those balls from falling in their own territory and hit those balls into the opponents territory to score 1 point. The first team to reach 3 points wins the match.

Next Pokémon to join the fray
Additionally, Pawmot has been teased to be the next Pokémon to join the fray, expected to join the game later this year. Apart from a quick cameo at the end of the video, no further information has been revealed yet.

Commemorative Gift
Use Gift code UNITE0722
Players can redeem a Pokémon Presents Commerative Gift by using the gift code UNITE0722. This gift contains Platinum Boost Emblems for Latios and Latias, and 3-day trial license for Latios. To use a gift code, go to the home screen > Daily Events > Gift Exchange in the game. The exchanged items will be sent via in-game mail.

Latios and Latias have both available to play on the public test server since June 16th. The Public Test app aims to gather data for balance changes and bug fixes, which will be utilized in future updates. The app is available only on Android devices in English in Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, or India.
