Take a tropical island holiday in Pokémon GO next month with the Pokémon Concierge Celebration Event from September 9th to 14th

In celebration of the release of the second batch of episodes of Pokémon Concierge streaming on Netflix from September 4th, a Pokémon Concierge Celebration Event will be running in Pokémon GO from Tuesday, September 9th, at 10:00am to Sunday, September 14th, at 8:00pm local time. Psyduck with a swim ring will make its Pokémon GO debut, along with its Shiny variant.

Event Bonuses and Activities
The following bonuses will be active throughout the event period:
  • 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
  • Buddy Pokémon will bring items more often.
  • Increased chance to encounter Shiny Psyduck with a swim ring.
  • Psyduck with a swim ring caught from a wild encounter may have an event-themed Special Background.
  • Pokémon and characters seen in Pokémon Concierge may appear when taking a snapshot during the event.

New Avatar Items and Stickers
Pokémon Concierge Haru's Aloha Shirt avatar item will be available for free in the in-game shop during this event and will continue to be available after the event ends.

Trainers will also be able to get event-themed stickers by spinning PokéStops and opening Gifts.

Field Research
Field Research tasks will be available as part of this event. Trainers completing these tasks will receive encounters with event-themed Pokémon.

Free and Paid Timed Research
Free Timed Research opportunities focused on catching Pokémon and taking snapshots of wild Pokémon will be available throughout the event. Trainers completing these Research tasks will receive Stardust, and encounters with event-themed Pokémon, amongst other rewards.

Trainers can also purchase access to event-exclusive Timed Research for US$4.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in each local currency), which can be gifted to any friend with a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher. Trainers completing these paid Timed Research tasks will receive 5,000 Stardust, an event-themed avatar pose, and encounters with Psyduck with a swim ring, amongst other rewards.

The tasks associated with all of these Timed Research opportunities must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before September 14th, at 8:00pm local time.

Celebration Event Ultra Ticket Box
A Celebration Event Ultra Ticket Box will be available on the Pokémon GO Web Store for US$4.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in each local currency. This box includes an event ticket for access to Paid Times Research, plus 10 Ultra Balls.

All Pokémon listed below with a ⁂ next to their name can also be encountered in their Shiny variants.

Wild Encounters
Trainers will be able to encounter Psyduck with a swim ring, Sealeo, and more event-themed Pokémon in the wild. Shinx may also appear for lucky Trainers.
