Seasonal Bonuses for all Trainers
The following bonuses will be active throughout the Tales of Transformation Season:
PokéStop Showcases
PokéStop Showcases will be held throughout the season. While the seasonal update doesn't specify times for these, based on past seasons Trainers should expect them to be running each week from Saturdays to Sundays, and from Mondays to Tuesdays.
New themed Stickers are available
Trainers can get season-themed stickers by spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts, and purchasing them from the in-game shop.
This latest season of the GO Battle League will begin on September 2nd, at 1:00pm (PST). More details on this League will be published in a separate article.
Field Research
A range of Field Research tasks awarding Mega Energy for various Pokémon will be available during each month in the Tales of Transformation Season. Select Field Research tasks will also award Diancie Mega Energy.
Trainers completing Field Research tasks will also be able to unlock encounters with a variety of different Pokémon (see below).
Seasonal Special Research
A new Special Research story will be available for Trainers to claim from September 2nd, at 10:00am, in which Trainers will encounter and journey alongside Keldeo. Keldeo's transformation into its Resolute Form will make its Pokémon GO debut with this Special Research. Trainers who have already caught Keldeo can continue their journey with it, and will receive Keldeo Candy that they can use to power it up. Trainers will not be able to immediately complete the entire Special Research story at the beginning of the season, with additional parts unlocking as the season progresses.
This Special Research will remain available to claim up until the very end of the season, on December 2nd, at 9:59am local time
The GO Pass, a limited-time progression track where Trainers can complete Pass Tasks to earn GO Points to increase their Trainer rank and earn rewards, returns for the Tales of Transformation Season. The GO Pass Deluxe, a paid version of GO Pass, will also be available for Trainers looking for upgraded rewards and faster progression.
GO Pass: September is expected to launch sometime shortly after the beginning of this season, with the exact rewards for the Pass to be released shortly before it goes live.
A new Weekly Challenges social feature will debut in Pokémon GO this Season.
These Weekly Challenges will involve group tasks for Trainers to complete in teams of up to four people. Groups can be formed either among existing Friends, or via random matchup with other Trainers from around the world. Groups are not restricted by location or distance.
Completing these Weekly Challenges together will earn all Trainers in a group a variety of rewards and XP, along with growing Friendship levels.
