Mega Evolution Pokémon TCG expansion receives 2 week delay in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, will now release in these regions on October 10th

In a post made to the official @PokemonTCGUK account on X, The Pokémon Company International have announced that the upcoming Mega Evolution expansion for the Pokémon Trading Card Game will receive a delayed release in countries across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The set will now come out in these markets two weeks later on October 10th.

@PokemonTCGUK on X said:
Due to challenges impacting product delivery dates, the release of the upcoming Pokémon Trading Card Game: Mega Evolution will be slightly delayed in EMEA markets.
We apologise to our fans and understand that this news may be disappointing. We are working hard alongside our logistics partners to ensure products will be available for purchase from 10 October 2025. We would like to thank our community for their continued support and patience.

A follow-up post on the @playpokemon account on X notes that cards from this set will become legal in the Standard format from October 24th onwards in these countries only. As there are no EMEA-based Championship Series Events scheduled between the set's original release date and the Lille Pokémon Regional Championships on October 25th and 26th, this should mean that there will not be any disruption to the Championship series for either the Milwaukee Pokémon Regional Championships on October 10th through 12th, or the Belo Horizonte Pokémon Regional Championships on October 11th and 12th.
