Another thousand for the books - 58,000 articles!
Hightailing from the last article milestone back in April, Bulbapedia celebrated its latest growth spurt with its 58,000th article, Pokémon 1008 ENCOUNTERS! Premiered on January 12, 2023 across most official Pokémon YouTube channels, we got a glimpse of the 1008 Pokémon species available at the time all under one roof! The Keen Eyes of AsparagusEduardo, minibug, and SuperPikaPool13 worked continuously to provide the most accurate breakdown of how the Pokémon shown in the video were organized based on certain criteria. Originally pioneered way back in 2018 by BrendanC, our Sitting Cuties page recently exploded into eight excellent pages thanks to our merchandise ace Akurochan! Showcasing plush Pokémon from Kanto to Kalos, with literally hundreds of images uploaded by our awesome Archives contributors Kiribartlett, AnnieCat07, and Moonboy65.
A huge thank you to you all for your contributions to these fantastic pages! But the journey's not over yet! We still need to grab the Alola mons to complete the set... maybe you be the one to help us catch 'em all!
An update of epic proportions!

The TCG has printed, packed, and shipped nearly 65 billion cards! Now, you may be asking, how does Pokemon manage to get all those cards into the hands of all the players, collectors, and TCG fans out there? TCG merchandise of course!
Even the most casual fans out there have purchased a tin, booster pack, or promo collection. But did you know that the Scarlet & Violet Series alone has released over 290 different kinds of products to collect? Thanks to the dedicated work of TCG expert nuva-kal, our Scarlet & Violet Series pages are now bursting with all the products released up to today!
Now as all long-time TCG players understand, power creep can be an unexpected phenomenon as new cards are released every month. We at Bulbapedia are no stranger to the effects of monthly releases. Going forward with the introduction of the Mega Evolution Series, our TCG merch section will be experiencing an overhaul to make these massive pages more load-friendly and digestible. Stay tuned for exciting updates in this space as we enter the era of Mega Pokémon!

Originally created by Daniel Carrero in 2021, our list of battle music themes has been a collaborative project spanning years of contributions from a number of users. Most recently, it was expanded substantially by Shadowlucario50 and FlitPix. Thanks you two!
And there’s more work to be done! Battle music isn’t just a core series phenomenon; the various spin-off games and works of Pokémon animation have had their fair share of battle themes over the history of the franchise, so if you’re a Sidegames Song Superstar or an Anime Aria All-Star, you too can give the page a tune up. An Ultra Pick!

Amidst the Extradimensional Crisis looming over Pokémon TCG Pocket, players got to experience the game’s first Ultra Beast Mass Outbreak Event! Unlike previous Mass Outbreak events which focused on cards of a specific type, this event shined the spotlight on cards of the titular Ultra Beasts. Before the Ultra Wormhole closed on this event, players could earn exclusive cosmetic flairs for both Buzzwole ex and Guzzlord ex. Huge props to TCG expert Cipher for investigating this otherworldly phenomenon!

The newest TCG Pocket expansion Eevee Grove is out now, focusing on the cute and cuddly Eeveelutions. This set introduces 69 regular and 38 secret cards. You can collect new cards for Eevee and its Evolutions, along with some more fan favorite Pokémon.
As usual, our tremendous TCG Pocket team has been hard at work documenting everything, from the expansion card list and list of new solo battles, to the new Drop and Emblem events for the expansion.
