Full schedule and details released for the GO Battle League: Tales of Transformation in Pokémon GO, commencing next Tuesday September 3rd

The full schedule and details for the upcoming Tales of Transformation season for the GO Battle League in Pokémon GO have been released ahead of the start of the new season, which begins next Tuesday September 3rd, at 1:00pm (PDT).

As usual, the following will occur at the beginning of the season:
  • End-of-season rewards will be available for Trainers on the battle screen.
  • Trainers' GO Battle League ranks will be reset.
  • Rank-up requirements will remain the same as in the previous season
Combat System Changes
For this season, the switch timer in the GO Battle League will be changed from 50 seconds to 45 seconds. In addition to the Go Battle League, this change will also impact Trainer Battles against friends, Team GO Rocket battles, and team leader battles.

This experimental change will be reevaluated for play in the next and subsequent seasons.

GO Battle Weekend: Tales of Transformation
A special GO Battle Weekend will be held from Saturday October 25th at 10:00am local time, through to Sunday October 26th at 11:59pm local time, overlapping with the simultaneous run of the Great League, Ultra League, and Master League.

During this event, the following bonuses will be active:
  • Trainers will receive 4× Stardust from win rewards (separate to the end-of-set rewards)
  • The maximum number of sets Trainers can play per day will be increased from five to 10 - for a total of 50 battles - from 12:00am to 11:59pm local time.
  • Pokémon encountered via GO Battle League rewards will have a wider variance of Attack, Defense, and HP than would typically be seen.
GO Battle Weekend Timed Research
Free battle-themed Timed Research will be available over this Battle Weekend. Completing the free Timed Research will award Trainers with the Clemont-style glasses avatar item, among other rewards.

At certain ranks, Trainers will also be able to earn avatar items and a pose inspired by Clemont, he Gym Leader of Lumiose City's Gym in Pokémon X and Y.

Go Battle League Timed Research Pass
A pass to access free battle-themed Timed Research will available to claim from the in-game shop from the start of the season. This Timed Research will keep track of Trainer's victories throughout the season, with each page requiring 100 wins to complete. Completing a page will award an amount of Stardust and items such as Rare Candy XL, with additional rewards including an Elite Fast TM at 400 wins, and an Elite Charged TM at 500 wins.
